Case Studies

The core of this lab.

Each case study takes a business challenge, real or fictional, and works it from problem definition to implementation. Itcombines business analysis, AI opportunity evaluation, systems design, engineering decisions, and measurable business outcomes.

Every case study answers these questions:

  • What is the business problem, and why does it matter?
  • Should AI even be used here?
  • What alternative solutions exist?
  • Why was this architecture selected?
  • What measurable business value could this create?
  • What are the risks and trade-offs?
  • What lessons emerged from building it?

Document Copilot

A research firm's analysts lost half their week to reading SEC filings before any analysis could begin. The study examines whether AI was the right tool, designs a retrieval system built around trust and citation, and measures the value in reclaimed analyst capacity.

More case studies are in progress. Each one follows the same structure: executive summary, business context, opportunity analysis, proposed solution, technical architecture, implementation, business impact, and lessons learned.
